Our Aims & Ethos

“We live in a society where we are teaching our children to pass tests and conform to a general capability. We are missing out on nurturing their individuality and harnessing their ability to be inquisitive to the world around them. We are teaching children what to think and not how to think. We need to stop pushing children to achieve A grades, and reach outcomes quicker but rather we must allow them to work at their own pace, support them to think on their own and guide them to achieve resilience and confidence in themselves as well as their own unique ability. If we can do that, then we will be able to give them the best start in an ever-changing world of social media and AI developments. I believe that the best way we can support children who attend our school to be empathetic, kind, confident individuals is through a learning environment which gives children the opportunity to not only work together but work alone; to make friendships, to take care of animals and to be able to explore the natural environment. I believe that if we can successfully do this, then there are no limitations to what the next generation will achieve.”
